Vision & Mission
Medical help for Afghanistan.
The central mission of Afghan Telemedicine is to develop and deploy e-health and particularly telemedicine as a humanitarian project in Afghanistan.
Our Vision is that the medical faculties and clinics in Afghanistan can achieve a stronger orientation towards the needs and health of the Afghan people, a more up-to-date state of science and technology and a better healthcare in general.
We trust in the extensive use of telemedicine and e-health to link hospitals and clinics, in order to support diagnostics and treatments, as well as the use of medical informatics.
International co-operations are helping us on our way.
The significant deterioration of the security situation, even in Kabul, on top of already considerable geographic, ethnic and social barriers, often allows for the sending of training staff in person. This is were telemedicine shows its great advantages. It has proven to bear great potential for medical aid in almost all disciplines and does not only overcome geographical distances but also security obstacles.
In addition to the practical help, we are very confident that with the introduction and organisation of telemedicine in Afghanistan, we have established an interesting research object.
